THE END

It’s been almost seven years... seven years since Uma reached out to me on Facebook pitching an idea about collaborating on a film together. After seven long years, we are finally ready to present our film to you.
The experience of making this film was as much of a story as the actual film itself. It wasn’t just Nila and Holly’s journey, but Uma’s and mine. When we started this film, we were complete strangers from vastly different cities and countries, learning to work together to create one movie. We had different styles, visions, and personalities, setting out to do something that had never been done before. We created an experimental film, using separate crews, casts, and equipment.
Making a feature length film is difficult, but add 9,000 miles, a twelve and a half hour time difference, a $20,000 budget, and it was no small feat. We faced an immense number of challenges along the way – such as, a lack of crew, an editor in Macau who disappeared with our hard drives, and synching audio in a foreign language I didn’t understand.
But for all those hard days on set, the long hours of editing, and at times the logistical nightmares, I wouldn’t trade the experience for anything. Seven years ago, Uma and I were strangers who had an idea … an idea, that ultimately became this movie, and we, lifelong friends.
Thank you again for your patience and your contribution.
We hope you enjoy!
